Swaplogic: An Introduction
Want to find products or services, but have reservations of transacting without any history on your counterparty? Tired of being scammed, duped or lied to? Swaplogic is your solution.
What is Swaplogic?
Swaplogic is a Classified Ad portal that gives insight to the entire life of a transaction between counterparties including:
- Creating an ad where you Request or Offer Products and Services
- Negotiating a transaction Contract between the two Counterparties
- Filing feedback on the performance of each Counterparty
Why is Swaplogic Different?
Swaplogic members stand behind the products and services they sell, and they prove it by making their transactions public and share the feedback they have received about their performance. In doing so, they build a public track record of their actions and show that they are accountable for their actions.
Why should you use Swaplogic?
- You want to prove that you are a professional in your chosen field and you want to prove it by making your track record public
- You want to market and differentiate yourself, your business or the products you sell through demonstrated accountability
- Just because you're a great person and you want to prove it to everyone!
Swaplogic isn't all about business. Have fun! Did you promise to take your girlfriend out to the movies this Friday? Make it a contract! Remember, there are no limits to the contracts you can file on Swaplogic.
Quick Tour
First, A Few Words about Privacy
We here at Swaplogic realize that by creating an environment that thrives on transparency that members could potentially be left exposed. Be aware of this risk, not only on Swaplogic, but on other Internet websites as well. Please, please, PLEASE use common sense, exercise prudence, air on the side caution and PROTECT YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION AT ALL COSTS. Never publicly reveal any information that you would consider private in Contracts, Bids, Asks, Comments, Communications, Emails and so on. If you choose to do so, you assume all of the risk inherent in making your private information public. This includes sharing any of your private information including, but not limited to:
- Your Name
- Address
- Phone Number
- Social Insurance Number
- Credit Card or Banking Information
- Any other information that you want to protect or keep private!
Step #1: Don't know where to start? Search!
Start with the Search tool. You'll find profiles of people that want to share their accountability with the world. They might be selling products or services. They might just want to tell the story of their life in a unique way. They might even be looking for someone like you to fill a need they have!
Step #2: Can't find what you're looking for? Create a Classified Ad!
Can't find what you're looking for? Create a Bid or an Ask. Bids are just like classified ads, but they are specifically OFFERS OF products or services. Have something to sell? Then you are a Bidder, so creating a Bid is your answer! Asks are just like classified ads as well, but they are specifically REQUESTS FOR products or services. Want to buy something? Then you are an Asker!
Step #3, Option A: Find someone to transact with? Create a Contract!
Bids start their life off as a classified ad, but when they are found by someone who wants to transact, they become the basis of a contract and negotiation between the two Counterparties begins. Asks are similar since they start their life out as a classified ad, but if they found by someone that can fill the request, they become the basis of a contract and negotiation between the two Counterparties begins. Contracts are never finalized until both counterparties agree to the described terms. You can always back out of a negotiation if you are unsatisfied with what has been presented to you. But if you do agree to the terms in a contract, you must fulfill the terms, to the satisfaction of your counterparty, by the date that you said you finish, or you could be subject to Negative Feedback!
Step #3, Option B: Don't need to post an Ad, and just want to start Negotiating? Go ahead!
If you already know who you'd like to create a contract with, you just need that member's username, and you can start drafting the terms of the agreement that you have in mind for them immediately. You can get their username by either contacting them directly, or searching for their public profile on Swaplogic.
Step #3, Option C: Is a Contract too Formal? Make a Promise!
Contracts do not always have to be formal agreements about goods or services between a buyer and a seller. Swaplogic lets users create Promises, which are similar to Contracts, but are meant to be used as fun agreements between friends and family. Simply choose "Promise" as your Contract Type when you Draft a Contract and you can start negotiating your Promise.
Step #4: OK, so the Negotiating is done. What now? Do what you said you'd do in the Contract... then file Feedback!
Once a contract/promise has expired and all of the goods, services or tasks are exchanged, it is time to file feedback on each counterparty. Feedback can be in the form of text, images, or videos. So be creative and show how your counterparty has succeeded in the transaction
Step #5: Contract complete and delivered as promised? Do it again... and again!
Once you have one contract complete, that is just the beginning of your track record! Keep building it so that you can share proof of your accountability in all of your personal and professional dealings!
One Final Note: Embrace Accountability
Remember, once a Contract or Promise has been agreed to by both Counterparties, it becomes a legally binding contract, and the terms will become public on Swaplogic, so make sure that you live up to what you draft in your Contracts and prove that you are Accountable to the world!
