According to FastCompany, President Bush opposes the campaign for free nationwide Wi-Fi, which with predominantly serve the rural population. It doesn’t seem to make much sense, but then again, I don’t recall the last thing Bush did that really made a whole lot of sense either.
The argument seems to be that its an inefficient investment [...]

I’m not ashamed to admit that I still really haven’t tapped the full potential of Twitter. I mean, why lie? Maybe its because I’ve been accused of being overly verbose, so it just doesn’t meet my minimum verbosity requirements. Techdirt shares their perspective on “Ambient Awareness”, via the NYT, a concept that is propogated through [...]

Bring it! Techcrunch and many others report the imminent launch of Chrome, the Google Browser. Although I’ve already long since abandoned Explorer in all places except for my day job (where its the only browser allowed – blech!), this is a monumental shift towards Google, who is continues to prove that they really understand the [...]

Want to join an exclusive club? How about joining the very elite group of people who bought the I Am Rich iPhone application before it was removed from the iPhone Apps store. There has been more press for both sides of the argument on this app than the average person can handle. I just found [...]

MacDailyNews is fueling the rumor that a tablet sized iTouch will be introduced by Apple in the coming months. The gang at Techcrunch were blueskying an open source version of this as well, but probably weren’t imagining the price tag that Apple likely would (Techcrunch says ~$200, Apple would probably lean towards tripling that at the very [...]

I have to agree with the folks at Techdirt (I don’t remember the last time I didn’t, quite frankly). Ignoring the existence of a resource like Wikipedia is stupid. My guess is that teachers are bitter just bitter because they had to comb through encyclopedias and libraries when they were in the student’s place. The [...]

One of the principles of Swaplogic philosophy is the fact that transparency is becoming a commodity. Transparency used to be hard to come by. But with the advent of the Internet, as well as tools that have been around for some time but not as widely used, like video, digital cameras and cellular devices, transparency [...]

Man, the “Embrace” series of blog posts is like shooting fish in a barrel. It’s just too easy sometimes…
Enter Multiple Listings Services (MLS). These are very common internet-based databases used that contain regional real estate listings. If you’ve ever been interested in the real estate market before, chances are you’ve visited one of these sites.
Techdirt shares [...]

In an extension of our Metallica discussion from days gone by, the folks at Mashable have reported that Gene Simmons of KISS has picked “a side” in the Napster argument as well. Not surprisingly, the crusty old bassist picked the crusty old business model. Gene, Gene, Gene. The hair dye is seeping into your brain [...]
